Anna Jaques Hospital Celebrates “Born @ Anna Jaques” Reunion
Generations of people born at AJH gather during Yankee Homecoming for annual event
NEWBURYPORT, Mass. --- On Monday, July 29, 2013, Anna Jaques Hospital will hold the second annual “Born @ Anna Jaques” reunion. The free event takes place during Yankee Homecoming so that families who have moved out of town can join the celebration of generations of people who have been born at Anna Jaques.
Registration will begin at 5:30p.m. and the program will start at 6:00p.m., with a group photograph, followed by the singing of “Happy Birthday” and birthday cake for all attendees. The celebration lasts until 7:00p.m. and will take place on the front lawn of Anna Jaques Hospital. Food and drinks provided by local vendors will be available for purchase during the event.
“Last year’s reunion garnered more than 100 attendees and positive feedback,” said Sarah Gnerre, Executive Director, Anna Jaques Community Health Foundation. “We’re eager to continue to grow our celebration of people born at Anna Jaques. In time, we’d like to see the event become one of the largest reunions of people born at the same hospital and potentially enter it to beat the current Guinness World Record of 958 attendees.”
Advance registration is encouraged and by doing so, early registrants will be entered in a drawing for a $500 engraved Anna Jaques Hospital brick to be placed at the hospital. (Must be present to win!) To register or for more information, please click here or call the AJH Community Health Foundation at (978) 463-1176.
Attendees who make a donation of $25 or more to the Anna Jaques Community Health Foundation will receive a “Born @ Anna Jaques” T-shirt and photo of this year’s gathering. Gifts will go toward facilities and technology for the AJH Birth Center.
The event is sponsored by Corporate Benefits Group, LLC of Danvers, MA, Kelly’s Taylor Rental of Newburyport, Country Center for Health & Rehabilitation, Institution for Savings, Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank and The Provident Bank.
