NEWBURYPORT, Mass. --- Anna Jaques Hospital is participating in the 2013 Medline Pink Glove Dance competition, a national music video competition where hospitals compete for a chance to win a $25,000 donation towards the breast cancer charity of its choice. AJH has selected the Amesbury-based Tough Warrior Princesses organization. They are a nonprofit committed to educating the public on the need to find a cure, and providing support to local women and their families impacted by cancer.
Anna Jaques has chosen “community” as the theme for its video. For every person diagnosed with breast cancer, so many more are affected. Families, friends, coworkers and caregivers all form the support networks that enable patients to deal with the many aspects of treatment. Medline’s pink gloves, and the hands that fill them, are a perfect metaphor for support and strength of community, as well as the skilled hands of the medical professionals whose passion drives patient care.
In the spirit of community, the hospital invites employees, friends and supporters of Anna Jaques to film the video finale. The crowd will participate in a 30-second dance sequence that will cap off the music video.
