Capability and Compassion at the Anna Jaques Hospital Birth Center

In April of 2019, Laura Burson experienced preeclampsia and underwent an emergency C-section at the Anna Jaques Hospital Birth Center. Over the following weeks, the Neonatal Care Center (NCC) provided the special care that her baby needed, while Laura was always nearby to bond with her baby, thanks to NCC's “rooming in” program. The Birth Center care team also provided Laura with valuable education about caring for her baby at home, easing any concerns about being a first-time parent.
