The Anna Jaques Hospital Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center is a unique community resource. Since 2001, we have specialized in the treatment of chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions and offering hospital-based outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
As one of the top rated Centers in the nation six years in a row, Anna Jaques Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center was the first Center in the state of Massachusetts to receive full accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS).
We are equipped with two state-of-the-art hyperbaric chambers, affectionately known as Max and Molly, to deliver pressurized 100% oxygen to our patients to promote and accelerate the healing process. We are located at Anna Jaques Hospital in a specially-designed area that features treatment rooms, the hyperbaric chamber room, and consultation space.
We have established an impressive record of healing wounds that others thought hopeless, including many that might have required amputation. Our carefully researched methods allow patients to receive state-of-the art treatment of wounds that have resisted healing despite months, or even years of conventional treatment. We proudly boast a 95% healing rate for the wounds we treat.
Our staff consists of a team of specialty trained medical experts including physicians, registered nurses, certified hyperbaric technicians and therapists. With this caring team, the center uses a multidisciplinary approach to wound healing. We are dedicated to one goal -- healing your wounds.
Some of the conditions we treat include:
Your primary care physician may refer you to the center or you may call us directly at 978-463-1303. If your wound has not healed in 30 days, you should consider making an appointment. When you call, you will be asked a few questions concerning your wound and your general health. Your visit will be scheduled within two business days of your call at a convenient time, and a staff member will call to verify your appointment.
On your first visit, please bring a list of your current medications and your allergies. We also need your records, including x-rays (if available) and current insurance forms and/or cards. This will simplify your registration.
Before beginning treatment, our physicians and nurses will evaluate your wound and review your medical and patient historyas well as your general health. You may have special tests to provide us with important information. We treat only your wounds, so you will continue to see your primary care physician for your complete medical care. We will inform your doctor about your treatment program and your progress.
