About Dr. Navarra

Guy A. Navarra, MD

Dr. Navarra is a board-certified internist who specializes in geriatric medicine. He completed his medical degree in Madrid, Spain in 1991, then came to the United States to perform his post-graduate training.

Dr. Navarra is also a Bariatrician. He is a licensed physician who, as a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP), has received special training in the medical treatment of overweight and obesity and its associated conditions.  Bariatricians use a comprehensive program of diet, nutrition, exercise, lifestyle changes and, when indicated, appetite suppressants and other appropriate medications. 

Dr. Navarra offers "MedTrimMD", a comprehensive weight loss program (formerly named New Self Weight Loss Center) located at 21 Highland Avenue, Suite 6, in the Doctor’s Office Building. Dr. Navarra completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He is president of Seacoast Medical Associates, which is conveniently located on the Anna Jaques Hospital campus.
