 Tailored screening and assessment based on individual risk is the key to early detection of cancer. The Gerrish Breast Care Center at Anna Jaques in Newburyport uses the latest approach of risk-stratified screening to ensure that women with increased breast density or increased risk of breast cancer receive the diagnostic testing that is best for them.

First, we assess your personal risk for breast cancer using software that calculates your lifetime risk of developing breast cancer. Following that, we select from the following:

  • State-of-the-art 3D Mammography for all women
  • Additional imaging technologies, such as 3D breast ultrasound or breast MRI, to supplement mammography in women who are at high risk
