Radiology and Imaging at Anna Jaques Hospital

Each year, we perform more than 80,000 radiology procedures in our conveniently located imaging centers. These procedures help us diagnose a wide variety of medical conditions and provide personalized treatment for you.

At Anna Jaques, you have access to board-certified radiologists who are on-site. We offer advanced imaging technology, including our radiology picture archiving and communications system (PACS). It allows us to store and digitally transmit images and reports. These images may be viewed at your doctor’s office or hospital bedside. They also can be transmitted to our Emergency Department, operating room or another hospital.

State-of-the-Art Imaging Services

We offer a range of imaging services to meet your needs:

• Bone density scans to measure bone strength and monitor treatment for osteoporosis and osteopenia
• Computed tomography (CT) scans to provide cross-sectional images of bones, organs and blood vessels
• Interventional radiology to diagnose and treat conditions using image-guided procedures
• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to create detailed images of your body, including full body scans, without radiation
• Nuclear medicine to see how well various parts of your body are functioning
• Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) scans to get information about your body structurally and functionally
• Ultrasound to create images using sound waves, rather than radiation
• X-ray to create basic pictures of the inside of your body

Our MRI and PET/CT services are offered in partnership with Shields Imaging.

Advanced Breast Imaging

Working in conjunction with the Gerrish Breast Care Center, we offer leading edge breast imaging, including 3-D mammography. If necessary, you can receive other breast imaging or an image-guided breast biopsy at Anna Jaques, as well.
