An Integrated New Health System

Transformational change is underway for healthcare in Massachusetts, and Anna Jaques is thrilled to be a part of it.

On May 12th, after months of evaluation and deliberation, the Anna Jaques Hospital Board of Trustees announced our intent to become a founding member of the proposed new health system being formed between Anna Jaques, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Lahey Health, New England Baptist Hospital, and Mount Auburn Hospital.

This new integrated health care delivery system will extend across Eastern Massachusetts, from Cape Cod to Newburyport. The system unites leading health care organizations to deliver all the extraordinary care our communities need and deserve, and creates an impactful, market-based solution to Massachusetts’ unsustainable health care costs.

Below is recap of how this decision came to be, and what it will mean for our future and the health of our patients and community.

There is much to be proud of that has brought Anna Jaques to this point. Anna Jaques will be the oldest hospital in the new system. For 134 years, AJH employees, medical staff, boards, committees, and volunteers have made this a special place to work and receive care. Our invitation to join this impressive group of hospitals is a direct reflection of our strong reputation for providing high quality care and a superior patient experience. We will continue doing what we do best for our community, with the added support of a robust health system.
