About Dr. McLaughlin

Robert E. McLaughlin, MD

Dr. McLaughlin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon whose private practice is exclusively dedicated to shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction. He treats rotator cuff disorders, shoulder instability, labral tears, arthritis and frozen shoulder. He is one of the only surgeons in the northeast who arthroscopically performs revision rotator cuff surgery with tissue augmentation. He also performs in-office ultrasounds for the diagnosis of rotator cuff tears.

Dr. McLaughlin earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia Medical School and completed a five-year surgical residency at Thomas Jefferson University. He also completed a fellowship at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center, where he trained under some of the top shoulder surgeons in the world.
