Experience and Expertise for Every Member of the Family

Our Gerrish Family Foundation Emergency Department is staffed by highly skilled, expert physicians and midlevel providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants). Our nurses are specifically trained in emergency medicine, and all of our full-time emergency physicians are board certified in emergency medicine. This is an exceptional qualification that only a few community hospitals can claim. It means that each of our emergency physicians has individually undergone rigorous training to gain board certification specifically in emergency medicine.

    Gerrish Family Fast Track Service

Designed to reduce wait times in the Gerrish Family Foundation Emergency Department, Fast Track sees patients with minor illnesses or injuries that require treatment, but not extensive evaluations, in a shorter period of time. Our goal is to have all Fast Track patients seen, treated, and released in two hours or less.

Named for a generous gift by the Gerrish Family, the Gerrish Family Foundation Fast Track officially opened in fall 2008. The long-awaited improvement to the Emergency Department added 2500 square feet of Fast Track space with four treatment rooms, a nurse's station, a mid-level practitioner's office, and waiting room, all well integrated into the main ED.

The Gerrish Family Fast Track Service is open seven days a week, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
