About Dr. Awerman

Dr. Jessica Awerman grew up in Massachusetts. She graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a B.S. in biology. She attended the Tufts University School of Medicine, graduating with the research honors in addition to being elected a member of the medical honors society (Alpha Omega Alpha) and community service honors society (Honos Civicus).

Dr. Awerman completed her internship at Newton Wellesley Hospital doing a transitional year program working in both internal medicine and surgery. She then completed her first year of dermatology residency at the UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Dermatology in Dallas, TX, and then transferred home to the Tufts Medical Center Department of Dermatology in Boston, MA for her remaining two years.

Dr. Awerman has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at national meetings. In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with family.
