About Dr. Buzney

Dr. Sheldon Buzney is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and the Ophthalmology as well as Vitreoretinal Fellowship Programs at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. As a Commissioned Officer in the United States Public Health Service, Dr. Buzney served at the National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute. Dr. Buzney has published numerous basic science and clinically relevant studies as well as participating in important multi-centered clinical studies.

He is a member of the Retina Society and the American Association of Retina Specialists and is a past president of both the New England Ophthalmological Society and the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, part-time, Harvard Medical School, Dr. Buzney is on staff at multiple Boston and Greater Boston Medical Centers. Dr. Buzney's practice focuses on medical as well as surgical vitreoretinal diseases.
